Myanmar will take visits proposed by the ASEAN into account based on the situation of internal stability, the State-owned Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) quoted the speech of Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing as saying in its 8 pm news hour on April 26.

The military chief made the remark during his speech at SAC’s meeting (9/2021) held in Nay Pyi Taw on April 26.

He also said the suggestions given by the ASEAN leaders would be seriously taken into account in relation to the current internal issues as they include appropriate and positive ones.

Regarding the ASEAN’s request to constructively participate in the adopted five future programmes, the SAC will ponder it in the interest of the country if it is based on “ ASEAN Charter” “ASEAN WAY” “ASEAN Sprit”, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing commented.

The military chief attended the ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on April 24. At the meeting, a five-point consensus was reached including the point saying the special envoy and delegation of the ASEAN shall visit Myanmar to meet with all parties concerned.
