Myanmar found 1,398 new COVID-19 confirmed patients with 17 more have died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of November 22.

 

A total of 14,881 samples are tested between November 21 and November 22 and found 1,398 confirmed patients, it said.

 

A total of 1,079 people were allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people free from the virus to 58,758.

 

Among the 17 deaths, 14 had underlying chronic medical conditions. Up to 1,739 patients have died from the virus, it said.

 

It said 1,019,238 samples were tested till November 22 and found 79,246 patients so far and 58,758 people were recovered from the virus with 1,739 deaths.

 

A total of 1,079 people, who had close contact with positive patients in Yangon Region and tested negative, are put in home quarantine, it said.

 

Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid antigen diagnostic test kits and there are people who lost their sense of smell and taste included, announced the MOHS.
