Myanmar reports 6,104 new patients with 190 deaths on July 16

Myanmar found 6194 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on July 16 when tested a total samples of 18,134 from July 15 at 8:00 pm to July 16 at 8:00 pm, with 190 deaths, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS). 

Therefore, Myanmar found confirmed cases of 218,739 patients. 190 more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 4,536, according to a report from the MOHS. Since July 16 evening, a total of 2943462 samples were tested and found confirmed cases of 218739 with 4536 deaths according to MOHS.

A total of 2350 people were discharged from the hospitals on July 16  and so people recovered from the virus reached to 155,959..

It said, 462 samples are being tested in labs under MOHS, 45 samples were tested using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states, 388 samples were tested at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, 77 samples tested at private hospitals and labs, 863 samples were tested using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states and COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in public health departments in regions and states, and altogether 4061 confirmed cases were reported.
