Myanmar found 582 new COVID-19 confirmed patients and 12 more have died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of January 11.
A total of 18,257 samples were tested from January 10 at 8:00 pm to January 11 at 8:00 pm, and found new 582 new COVID-19 patients.
A total of 560 people were allowed to be discharged from the hospitals, bringing the total number of people free from the virus to 114,609.
Among the 12 deaths, 111 had underlying chronic medical conditions. Up to 2,858 patients have died from the virus, it said.
A total of 232 people, who had close contact with positive patients in Yangon Region and tested negative, are put in home quarantine, it said.
