Myanmar minister, China's NEA deputy administrator discuss power projects

Myanmar's union minister for electricity and energy and Li Fanrong, deputy administrator of National Energy Administration (NEA) of the People's Republic of China discussed electricity and energy projects being implemented under bilateral cooperation in Suzhou on October 19, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Information on Sunday.

The statement, however, did not mention the topic of the discussion in detail.

On October 19 and 20, a Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Electricity and Energy Win Khaing studied developments in the generation of electricity from hydropower, wind power, biofuel, underground thermal energy, coal firing and liquefied gas, home electrification through solar power and use of electric cars at the Future Energy Booth near Suzhou and China's cooperation with Singapore since 1990, step-by-step construction of an industrial zone by drawing a systematic project, PV roofing tiles produced with a high technology by Thin-film PV research department of PV Industrial Group and use and test-run of chargeable PV solar panels in backpacks at Suzhou Industrial Park Exhibition, according to the statement

The delegation arrived back in Yangon on Sunday evening.
