Myanmar delegation leader Kyaw Tint Swe meets in discussions with Mr. Filippo, United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees

Kyaw Tin Swe, Union Minister for State Counsellor Office, leading Myanmar delegation, who is currently attending the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the United States, met Mr. Filippo,  United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) at the UN Headquarters on 26 September.

During the meeting, they discussed continued cooperation between Myanmar government and the UNDP and the UNHCR for the implementation of MoU to render assistance to Myanmar government for the repatriation process of displaced persons from Bangladesh.

Kyaw Tin Swe spotlighted the importance of implementing and assisting  Quick Impact Project (QIP) that are livelihood projects for all communities in Rakhine State.

Similarly Kyaw Tin Swe also met with Mr. Phan Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Viet Nam on September and Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Foreign Minister of Thailand on September separately.

At the meetings, they exchanged views on mutual respect and cooperation. Kyaw Tin Swe clarified the current situation in Rakhine State. Then they discussed ways to seek mutual cooperation in the regional and international meetings including bilateral cooperation.
