The Union-level MSME Product Exhibition and Competition will feature approximately 80 booths, including manufacturing cooperative booths, and will award prizes across 30 categories for small, medium, and large enterprises.

This was announced by Dr. Charlie Than, Vice Chairman of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Committee and Union Minister, during a coordination meeting held on December 6 at the Ministry of Industry’s Office No. (30) meeting hall.

The exhibition and competition will include regional and provincial galleries, traditional food stalls, business-to-business (B2B) networking opportunities, technology displays, and foreign equipment and product galleries. Small-scale industries and manufacturing booths will also be showcased.

To ensure smooth organization, the event will be managed by an Organizing Committee, as well as various work committees and subcommittees, which will oversee responsibilities and coordination efforts. Attendees of the meeting emphasized the importance of taking ownership of responsibilities, fostering connections, and contributing suggestions for the event's success.

The Director General of the Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department provided updates on the exhibition’s organization and shared insights from the recent Union Day ceremony. Additionally, the Deputy Director from Nay Pyi Taw’s Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department offered suggestions based on prior experiences.

The Vice President of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) in Nay Pyi Taw discussed arrangements for welcoming representatives from the People’s Republic of China.

Following the meeting, Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than attended a ceremony to award grants to the Ministry of Industry's sports teams participating in the Fifth National Sports Festival. He presented cash assistance and sports equipment to the athletes.
