Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accepted the credentials of Ms. Ma Jia, the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, during a formal ceremony at the SAC Chairman's Credentials Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The ceremony was attended by SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Director-General of the Protocol Department U Zaw Tun Oo, Chinese Chargé d’affaires Ms. Cao Jing, and military attaché Senior Colonel Zheng Zijie.
During the meeting, the leaders engaged in a candid discussion on the longstanding history of friendly relations between Myanmar and China, emphasizing the strong neighboring ties and mutual friendship between the two countries.
The dialogue focused on China’s support for Myanmar in the international arena, as well as the shared commitment to building a society with a shared future, grounded in the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.
Both sides pledged to strengthen bilateral trust and cooperation, discussing the political progress of Myanmar and the successful implementation of collaborative projects for the development of both nations.
They also explored the enhancement of cooperation in the defense sector, security measures, peace and stability in border regions, and the reopening of border trade routes.
In addition, the discussions included plans to further promote cooperation across all sectors, reaffirming China's continued support for Myanmar’s Five-Point Roadmap.
