Myanmar and China held a bilateral talk led by Union Minister of Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, at the MOFA office in Nay Pyi Taw last night.
During the talks, both sides discussed the long-standing and strengthening relationship between Myanmar and China, cooperation for stability and peace in the border region, Chinese assistance in Myanmar's peace activities, and aid for Myanmar's development.
Additionally, they addressed mutual support in regional and international forums and other bilateral cooperation matters.
Later, the Union Minister briefed the Chinese delegation on the current situation in Myanmar. The discussions concluded with a dinner hosted by U Than Swe in honor of the visiting Chinese Foreign Minister and his delegation at Horizon Lake View Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.
