Prof. Dr. Ye Mya, Haematologist, said that now in Yangon there are a lot of people with no symptoms and those infected without any contact. Sometimes there are cases where one doesn't know one is infected, and one gets all right. These patients are actually infected, and about 40 % of them are not aware of being infected. From them others get infected as well. These people get well after a fortnight. Within this time others can get infected. So we have to take preventive measures all the time. The people we mix with may look all right, but there could be a few with infection. In our environment people with no symptoms could go around with viruses in them. That is why we can't trust anybody. That is the reason for wearing a mask when going out, and it washes our hands after touching anything on coming into contact with anything.
He continued saying that even among those that show no symptoms, about 20% can suffer severely from the disease. It would be necessary to go to hospitals and clinics should there be such conditions.
