We, including advocate Aung Naing are here at the court to apply for power of attorney. We hear that Dr Aung Moe Nyo will be brought to trial through video conferencing. But until now, we could not have sought permission to represent their cases. We are still waiting,” advocate Myint Aung told the media at 1.30 pm on February 23.

The Daily Eleven contacted a court official about the case but he declined to answer because they had not received any instruction from their superiors.

Magway Region Parliament Speaker U Tar, Construction Minister Tin Nwe Oo and Aung Win, personal assistant of Chief Minister Dr Aung Moe Nyo have been arrested since February 1 when the military took over State power. The chief minister was arrested on the same day. Then, he was allowed to stay at home. But a week later, he was arrested again.
