PATHEIN------- Loans with soft interest rates will be provided for manufacturing businesses, says Chairman of State Administration Council (SAC) Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
The information came from the meeting with the Senior General and departmental personnel and MSMEs businesses persons at the city hall of Pathein Township, Ayeyawady Region, on February 7th.
“Local manufacturing businesses were not encouraged in the past. So, many products were imported from the abroad and there had been trade deficits. Now, the government is encouraging the domestic manufacturing industries and striving to operate again the factories. Moreover, it is needed to strive for becoming an exporter country from an importer with manufacturing quality products to be exported to foreign countries. If the country sees a balance of income and spending, the nation will have economic development,” said the SAC chairman.
He also said that loans with soft interest rates will be provided for manufacturing businesses. Not only technology was required for MSMEs but also livestock, breeding and technical subjects must be conducted at the Basic Education High Schools for human resources development. So, the government is encouraging the human resource development projects. Ayeyawady Region has abundant raw materials for manufacturing. In implementing the One- Region-one product scheme, efforts must be made for distributing the products to the domestic market and sending them to foreign markets. Therefore, all citizens need to widen their scope of business knowledge in doing business with concerted efforts based on a global perspective.
On the occasion was SAC’s Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, SAC member General Tin Aung San, the Union Ministers, Prime Minister of Ayeyawady Region Tin Maung Win, senior military officers, Commander of south-west command Brig-Gen Kyi Khaing, relevant departmental heads, townelders and MSMEs businesses persons.
