In a term of government, the future government must continue to implement the international treaties, commitments, agreements in line with their policies, and that projects and activities that have been stopped due to various reasons will be re-implemented, said Senior-General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of State Administration Council (SAC).

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said these words at the meeting 6/2023 of the Union government at the office of the SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw held on October 2.

The Senior General said that in its tenure, the current government is implementing the projects of previous governments and more governments in successive eras as much as it can, and an emphasis is being placed to resume the projects and workplaces halted for various reasons. Union ministers and deputy ministers’ ranks are political positions and in implementing the policies, staffs from various levels have to implement the policies laid down by the government. Although governments may change, government staff is the same. All the projects implemented were recorded. The incoming government needs to continue the implementation of these projects under their policies.

He said that in a term of the government; there will be treaties, commitments and agreements related to the international community. The incoming government needs to continue the implementation of these projects under their policies. In this regard, the ruling government needs to take responsibility for whether these projects are implemented. The government is working for the projects suspended for various reasons.  He urged the government to verify the projects and tasks of ministries, regions and states for continuous implementation.

He added that in implementing projects, accountability and responsibility are need in avoiding delay. Therefore, check, recheck, counter check must be practiced in implementing projects. Everyday measures need to be put under check list and be carried out. Everyone is responsible for the success of work related to each one. Cooperation and coordination are also required, he continued.

Projects are being drawn in accordance with each fiscal year. It is important to draw projects which can achieve success. If the projects aren’t implemented due to various reasons, the country suffered a lot. Moreover, in assigning positions, or transferring, it must be done in accordance with the rules and regulation, he added.
