The government is working to run electric trains in the ancient cultural area of Pyay district, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC).
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing added the above in a meeting with MSME entrepreneurs on October 4 at Sri Chetira Yadanapone Town Hall in Pyay, Bago Region.
He said he is encouraged the tourism sector and there are many ancient cultural sites and famous temples in the area. The upgrading of the railway line is being carried out for convenient travel by train. In the future, the government is aiming to run trains that use electricity, for the tourism industry, said the SAC chair.
In addition, it is needed to systematically build accommodation and temporary rest areas to create a good environment and for tourists to live. Food and drink should be made cleaner and better than now and locals need to make efforts to attract foreign tourists. Russian-Myanmar friendship associations will be organized according to the regions where tourists from Russia visit Myanmar, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
