Mingalar Aviation Services Co. Ltd. was allowed to operate the air transportation business, which only the government has the right to operate, according to the Union of Myanmar Gazette.
It is reported that the Union Government has exercised its mandate under Section 4 of the State-Owned Economic Enterprises Law and issued this notice. The Ministry of Transport and Communications has been given the authority to supervise the work.
According to a press release of Yangon International Airport, access to the Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 buildings of Yangon International Airport has been re-authorized for guests escorting and welcoming passengers with an access card.
Family members and friends of passengers using Terminal 3 of Yangon International Airport (arrival and departure) have been allowed to enter and welcome passengers into the airport premises starting from September 28.
When entering the airport, passengers must bring their official travel documents to Gate No. 1, 2 and 4 must be accessed. Accompanying and welcoming family members, friends and related staff will only be allowed to enter through Gate No. 2.
Accompanying and welcoming guests must register for an access card at the registration area near Gate No. 2.
When returning from the airport, guests who have already entered the building with an access card must leave from Gate No. 3 and return the card.
At Yangon International Airport, relevant security measures will be put in place in order to ensure a safe and secure airport experience for travelers. Therefore, the guests will have to undergo relevant security checks and will need to hang their access cards together according to the rules established in the airport building.
