The Ministry of Commerce has announced that the year of manufacture for the import of vehicles for 2025 will continue to apply without changing the current policies.

The Ministry of Commerce, in exercise of its powers under Section 13(b) of the Export and Import Law, has issued Notification No. (100/2024) dated December 23, 2024.

The year of manufacture for the import of vehicles for 2025 is as follows.

The year of manufacture for passenger vehicles is set from 2024 to 2025, from 2021 to 2025 for commercial vehicles (trucks/passenger vehicles), from 2016 to 2025 for fire engines/ambulances, and from 2016 to 2025 for machinery.

The above-mentioned vehicles will only be allowed to be imported with left-hand drive vehicles, the statement said.

It is understood that the import of attached commercial machinery that are not used on public roads will be allowed as vehicles manufactured in the last 15 years (vehicles manufactured in 2011 and above).

This notification is a regular announcement of the annual calendar year vehicle manufacturing year limit for import. The current policy regarding vehicle import will continue to be applied without any change, the statement said.
