The visit to General Aung San Museum and Secretariat building (former Ministers Building) in 74th Martyrs’ Day is disallowed due to COVID-19, reported state owned newspaper quoting the announcement released by the committee which invite, inform and make documentation for commemoration ceremony of 74th Martyrs’ Day.

The announcement said the visit to General Aung San Museum and Secretariat building in 74th Martyrs’ Day is banned due to COVID-19. To overcome the pandemic, public access to the General Aung San Museum and Secretariat building will be closed to the public on July 19 in line with the guidelines of central committee on prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19.

The visit to General Aung San Museum and Secretariat building was also banned in last year Martyrs’ Day.

People paid tribute to the fallen heroes in 73rd Martyrs’ Day by using social distancing in their communities due to COVID-19 pandemic.
