The Union Election Commission (UEC) has announced the deregistration and dissolution of the National Democratic Force Party (NDF), Democratic Party of National Politics (DNP), Women's Party (Mon), and the Union Farmers and Workers Force Party for failing to meet the required number of party members and party offices.
On September 9, the UEC announced via Announcement No. 95/2025 that the registration of these four political parties as political parties has been cancelled and the parties have been dissolved.
The announcement states that, in accordance with Sections 5 (F) and (H) of the Political Parties Registration Law, the UEC had set September 7, 2025, as the final deadline for political parties to complete the requirements regarding the number of party members and party offices and to report to the Commission, as previously announced in Order No. 56/2025 on August 20, 2025.
According to Sections 12 (A) (9) and (10) of the Political Parties Registration Law, the UEC announced that, as of the specified date of September 7, 2025, the registration of the four political parties is cancelled and the parties are dissolved effective September 9, 2025, under Section 12 (B) of the Political Parties Registration Law. This applies to the National Democratic Force Party (NDF) for failing to meet the required number of party members under Section 5 (F), and to the Democratic Party of National Politics (DNP), the Women's Party (Mon), and the Union Farmers and Workers Force Party for failing to meet the required number of party offices under Section 5 (H).
