The Office of the President issued orders on October 10 announcing the reassignment of five deputy ministers to different departments, the transfer of one Union Civil Service Board member to another position, and the appointment of five new deputy ministers.
Under the reshuffle, Deputy Minister for Women’s Affairs Daw San San Nwe was appointed as a member of the Union Civil Service Board, while Deputy Minister for Labour U Maung Maung Than was appointed as a member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council. Deputy Minister for Sports U Nyi Nyi and Union Civil Service Board member U Htun Htun Win were appointed as members of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission. Deputy Minister for National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Kyaw Htin was transferred to the Ministry of Finance and Revenue as deputy minister, while Deputy Minister for Finance and Revenue U Han Win Aung was reassigned to the Ministry of National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Relations as deputy minister.
In addition, U Win Maung Thein was appointed deputy minister for Education, Dr Tin Tun as deputy minister for Health, Dr Nay Thwe Kyi as deputy minister for Women’s Affairs, U Myo Aung as deputy minister for Labour, and U Myo Kyaw Thu as deputy minister for Sports.
The Office of the President also issued orders appointing U Saw Yan Aung as Minister for Municipal Affairs of the Sagaing Region Government and Daw Aye Aye Hlaing as a judge of the Shan State High Court.
