Myanmar’s 61st Gems Emporium opens in Nay Pyi Taw

President U Min Aung Hlaing attended the opening ceremony of the 61st Myanmar Gems Emporium, held in Nay Pyi Taw  on October 9.

According to reports, the floor prices for pearl lots at the emporium have been set in US dollars. Foreign gem traders are required to make payments in US dollars, Chinese yuan or Thai baht, while domestic gem traders must pay in Myanmar kyats.

The 61st Myanmar Gems Emporium will run until October 17, with gems and jewellery on display and available for sale.
