Some of the trucks caught fire due to bomb explosions in the Seven Huaxi truck terminal near Kyinsankyawt gate in Muse, northern Shan State at about 8:30 am on November 23 and the fire, which destroyed 85 trucks, was finally died down at 5:30 pm, sources said.

''The fire was extinguished around 5:30 pm. There were few remains of the fire. A total of 85 trucks caught fire,'' said a person involved in putting out the fire.

The estimated value of each truck that was lost in the fire, including the goods, is between 300 and 500 million kyats.

The Seven Huaxi truck terminal is a parking place for trucks carrying imported goods from China, and since October 27, there have been around 150 trucks stuck in there.

It is not known which side fired the bombs that exploded into the compound, but a truck driver said that five bombs exploded and initially about five vehicles started to burn.

Regarding the explosion of bombs in the gate of Kyinsankyawt, the information team of the State Administration Council (SAC) stated the Tatmadaw did not fire any heavy weapons in the vicinity of Muse town in the morning of November 23. TNLA and its affiliates have been targeting non-military civilian areas with heavy weapons to stop the flow of goods and disrupt peace. Due to the shooting and attack, heavy weapon shells fell into the truck terminal in Kyinsankyawt gate and the trucks were set on fire.
