The Yangon Region Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC) reported a temporary power system failure in Yangon Region yesterday evening at 7:50 p.m.

The incident was attributed to damaged power lines and insufficient water levels in dams, resulting in the capability to meet only 50 percent of the electricity demand. Specifically, Yangon Region receives 46 percent of the electricity, Mandalay Region 16 percent, and the remaining 38 percent serves other regions and states.
