A fire that broke out at a restaurant in Taungoo around 6 am on July 29 causing a 70 years old paralyzed man died who was inside the house according to sources.

“Fire broke out at Moe Kaung Kin restaurant in Khaymar Street. I didn’t know why the fire started. It’s been nearly half an hour to extinguish the fire but no houses in the neighboring areas caught fire.

here was an old paralyzed man in the house. Fire Department managed to extinguish the fire now,” said a local living in the same street.

Fire started at the room of a 76 years old man at the upper storey of the building on July 29. The cause of the fire is due to electrical fault, some said.

Members of the Fire Services, social and police came to the scene but rooms opened as a restaurant and bedrooms were destroyed by fire. Investigation has been taken to know the cause of fire.
