Talarhtu village in the foot of Khakarborazi Mountain in northernmost part of Myanmar was on fire on March 4 and entire village was reduced to ashes. Food and clothes were in desperately needed according Samluramsein, who is helping food and clothes to fur flung areas.

There are only 11 houses with 70 people and their livelihood is shifting cultivation. 

“The village is the place where Rawan ethnic people live. They cultivated millet and stored in small houses. All the sored houses were burnt down. In the open season, they searched herbal plants. They then exchanged what they found with rice and salt in Pannandin. It takes 8 days to go Pannandin. They are now currently sheltering at the school at the foot of the mountain. There are 3 disable people and many children,” said Samluramsein.
