The explosion took place near the corner of Paw San Hmwe Road and Myawaddy Road in Thuwanna 29 Ward, Thingangyun Township at around 10 am on December 23, according to residents.
A resident said, “It happened at the corner of Paw San Hmwe Road and Myawaddy Road in the morning. I heard a loud explosion. I don't know if anyone was injured.”
A similar explosion took place at the traffic police outpost at the corner of Ayeyar Wun Road and Myin Taw Thar Road in Thaketa Township on the afternoon of December 16.
At around 12 noon on December 16, an explosion was heard at the traffic police outpost at the corner of Ayeyar Wun Road and Myin Taw Thar Road in Thaketa Township, according to residents.
The township electricity office is located near the traffic police outpost where the blast took place, and security forces have been providing security at the township electricity office for some time.
There have been frequent explosions at the electricity office, and on November 28, a group of people opened fire into the electricity office.
Similarly, an explosion took place in a dormitory on Paw San Hmwe 1 Road, Hlaingthayar (West) Township on the night of December 13.
At around 6 pm on December 13, explosions were heard in a dormitory on Paw San Hmwe 1 Road, Ward 12, Hlaingthayar (West) Township, according to residents.
Seven explosions were heard from the inside of a three-story building on Paw San Hmwe 1 Road.
A 20-year-old man was injured in the blast which occurred at the ground floor and taken to hospital.
Security forces inspected the area after the blast.
There were four explosions near the South Okkalapa Township Police Station and Aung Mingalar highway bus terminal on December 9.
At around 5:30 pm on December 9, two explosions were heard near the South Okkalapa Township Police Station at the corner of Thitsar Road and Thumingalar Road.
After the explosion, vehicles were inspected in townships adjacent to South Okkalapa Township.
On December 9, at around 7:30 pm, two explosions took place inside the Aung Mingalar highway bus terminal.
