Eleven Media Group donates alms including Waso robes to monasteries during Buddhist Lent

Staff families of Eleven Media Group, as annual donations during the Buddhist Lent, donated alms to Shwe Dha Pariyatti Teaching Monastery in Shwepyitha Township, Yangon Region, on October 2. 

The donations included 30 dozens of Eleven exercise books, rice, cooking oil, salt, chilies, onions and canned sardine.

The president abbot of the monastery, Dr Bhaddanta Pandita Agga Maha Vasaca Panditaka, delivered a sermon sharing merits gained.

EMG donates such alms including Waso robes every Sabbath Day to monasteries for the convenience of Buddhist monks.   

On September 24, 30 dozens of Eleven exercise books, rice, cooking oil, salt, chilies, onions and canned sardine to 20 lecturer monks, monks, nuns and 300 laypeople under patronage of Yangon Buddhist University Presiding Petron Professor Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vimala in the compound of Sadu Pariyatti Teaching Monastery. 

Similar donations were made to Tipidaka Maha Ganthawin Nika Monastery in Dagon Myothit (East) Township on September 17, Sein Yadana Pariyatti Teaching Monastery in South Oakkalapa Township on September 9,  Tantkyi Taung Pariyatti Patipatti Teaching Monastery in Mingalardon Township on September 2, Zay Ta Wun Dhamayon Monastery in Mingalardon Township on August 25, Khayma Theikdhi Monastery in Shwepyitha Township on August 19, Mya Shwebin Saddhama Thukha Yeiktha in Pale Myothit, Mingalardon Township, on August 11, Sein Yadana Dhammacariya Teaching Monastery in Dagon Township on August 4, and Tri Pitaka Nicasa Teaching Monastery in South Dagon Township, Yangon Region on July 27. 

Likewise, EMG staff families donated alms for the fifth time to Pwint Tauk Village Monastery in Sidoktaya Township, Magway Region, on July 20. On that occasion, Waso robes were also donated to the monks from Pwint Tauk Village and its surrounding villages and food to the local people.

EMG built and donated a new monastery made of reinforced concrete in Pwint Tauk Village whose entire populace was evacuated in 2005 due to floods caused by heavy rains by spending 100 million kyats. Moreover, the 28 Buddha statues, a bronze statue and one throne as well as an ordination hall were donated.

On July 12 also, EMG offered Waso robes to the storm-resistant Saddhama Ranthi Monastery in Thagyahinoh Village, Dedaye Township, Ayeyawady Region.
