Eleven Media Group, along with other well-wishers, donated 6000 gallons of drinking water to Yaysagyo Township's Thein Kone and Oakkan villages during the first week of June.

Thein Kone village only produces salt water and is reliant on wells and ponds but is suffering from a draught.

The 120-household village received 3000 gallons of water  which will be enough for around 5 days.

"Wells in the village only produce salt water so we can only use it to wash ourselves or other things. If we cook rice with it, rice will turn yellow and bad. We can't drink salt water so we have to rely on ponds that store rainwater for drinking and cooking water. The rain in past few days did not manage to store enough in the pond and if the amount entered is low, it kicks up the dirt underneath so we cannot even use that yet. We have to use the donated water very sparsely too," said U Khin Win from Thein Kone Village.

For Oakkan Village, Eleven Media Group and donors had combined to donate a machine-dug well in 2020. It relies almost solely on that well.

"We rely on the well donated by Eleven. Even if we ran (the motor pump) for like 18 hours, it is just barely enough and at a hot time like this, the well cannot fulfil the demand. We have to distribute it in portions. There is a village pond but the first rain coming in will always bring in dirt and trash. Thanks to the machine-well, it isn't as bad as before but it is still not enough. It is more convenient for drinking water if water gets donated like this," said Ko Htike from Oakkan.

Donations of water for places suffering from draught began in 2016 through cooperation with Eleven Media Group and other well-wishers, transported by two water boxers supplied by KBZ's Brighter Future Myanmar Foundation.

As of 2021, there have been 21 machine-dug motor pump wells donated to villages that suffer from lack of water and difficulty accessing wells within Magway Region.
