Effective measures will be taken and there may be dismissals of some members of the State Administration Council (SAC) due to self-interested use of position and power, said Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

This was added by the SAC chairman in his speech at the SAC meeting (4/2023) held at the meeting hall of the SAC chairman's office in Nay Pyi Taw on September 28.

He said about the country’s development was low in the first meeting of the State Administration Council. In the country, it will be found that the development has been delayed due to the lack of effective and efficient use of the surface and underground resources, natural resources and human resources. If our country has peace and stability and expectations and objectives which can be implemented correctly, we will be able to stand in the middle level among the countries in the region in a few years. In assigning the members of the State Administration Council, looking at the previous government service, the performance of the task and what has gone through, senior military officers and government officials were entrusted with the task. Using the position and authority in the assignment of trust, sidelining some members and effective measures will be taken due to self-interest use of position and power.

Furthermore, the State Administration Council is the country's highest organization that is responsible for the state. Therefore, it will be necessary to set an example in carrying out activities, and to bring about the good of the state and the people, and build trust. As a government, in implementing the development of the nation from all sides, it needs to set the expectations and objectives. As we are carrying out the country's prosperity and food, water, and food security as two national processes, the strengthening of a truly disciplined multi-party democratic system and the construction of a union based on democracy and federalism are being established and implemented as two political processes as well. These are the factors that must be worked on to build the country not only during the current government but also in the future. To implement this, there are five goals and nine objectives set in the government. Nine directions have been established. The SAC members need to keep an eye on these points and implement them, said the SAC Chair.

The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council, Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Secretary Lt. Gen. Aung Lin Dway, Joint Secretary Lt. General Ye Win Oo, Council members and officials.
