The Office of the National Defence and Security Council announced on November 25 that Deputy Minister for Energy U Thant Sin has been dismissed from his post under Order No. 49/2025.
According to the order, the National Defence and Security Council removed U Thant Sin from his position as Deputy Minister for Energy in accordance with Article 427(b) of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
His dismissal follows recent reports that authorities summoned and questioned fuel import business owners this month over alleged price manipulation in fuel imports.
