Day temperatures may increase in six regions and states for three days: DMH

Day temperatures may increase in Sagaing, Magway, Mandalay and Bago regions and Shan and Kachin states for three days, announced the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) on May 21.

Day temperature were increasing from 7°C to 8°C above normal temperature of May  in lower Sagaing and Magway regions, northern and eastern Shan State and 5°C to 7°C above normal temperature of May in upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago regions, Kachin and southern Shan state. It is forecast to continuously increase day temperature in these regions and states during next three days, it said.

Due to the increasing of day temperature, it warned that people should be wary.

According to the announcement made by the DMH for May 22, day temperature were increasing from 7°C to 8°C above normal temperature of May in lower Sagaing and Magway regions and Kachin State, from 5°C to 6°C above normal temperature of May in Mandalay and Bago regions, northern and eastern Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon states and 4°C above normal temperature of May in Yangon, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions, southern Shan and Rakhine states. Significant day temperatures are 47°C in Chauk, 45°C in Gangaw and 44°C in Monywa, Myinmu, Minbu and Pauk respectively.
