Chinese embassy in Myanmar holds 74th Anniversary of Founding of PRC

A ceremony to commemorate 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) was held at the Amarapura Hall of the Wyndham Grand Yangon on September 26.

It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, departmental heads, military, political parties, representatives of Social Welfare Associations, diplomats and officials from the Chinese Companies.

The ceremony was opened with the National Anthem of the Republic of Myanmar and the National Anthem of PRC.

Ms Cao Jing, PRC’s chargé d’affaires (ai) in Myanmar, then extended her greetings.

The Deputy Prime Minister together with Ms Cao Jing, also cut the cake commemorating the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The attendees were then treated to a dinner by the chargé d’affaires ai.

During the celebration, videos of China’s development achievements as well as China-Myanmar cooperation efforts were shown and then CDs and books described as developments around the PRC, culture, China’s beautiful sceneries and customs were given to the invitees.
