Political parties and activists launched a sticker campaign for the abolishment of the constitution enacted in 2008 around Bago Myoma Market in Bago Region on January 26.

In the campaign, members of the National League for Democracy and some public members put stickers reading "The 2008 constitution does not work and abolish it" on motorcycles and cars.

"This is the first sticker campaign in our town. The aim of our movement is that the people's government we have chosen does not have the executive, legislative and judicial powers. People know who has these powers. The constitution writers know this as well. The 2008 constitution does not protect the people. Since the constitution does not protect the people, we want it to be amended or abolished. We launched this campaign as we cannot accept the constitution," said campaign leader Kyaw Myo Oo.

The campaign was held from 9 am to 11 am and will continue for next days.
