Arrivals of Chinese tourists increase than last year

During 2018,  6 airlines have increased 11 flights and arrivals of Chinese tourists to Myanmar has increased 38.38 percent compare to last year.

There are 6 airlines from China to Myanmar and 11 daily flights between China and Myanmar according to Yangon International Airport. In  future, there may be more flights from Myanmar to China's big cities.

In 2018, there were nearly 259,600 tourists from China visiting Myanmar. One of China's most popular airlines, 9 Air, began a Guangzhou-Yangon route on October 28.

Sichuam Airlines launched its new flights from Xian-an to Yangon. Sichuan Airlines from China start introduced its second direct flight between Yangon- Hangzhou on December 18, 2018. The first direct flight between Xian and Yangon started on November 10.

Myanmar National Airlines which is a state owned airlines started their new direct flight to Chengdu, China on December 28.

It is aimed at attracting more visitors from China and boosting tourism between cities of the two cities.
