Admiral Moe Aung appointed as National Security Advisor

The State Administration Council (SAC) issued the Order No. 4/2024 on the 8th of January, reporting that Admiral Moe Aung has been appointed as the Union Minister of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office (4) and the National Security Advisor.

Likewise, the SAC issued yesterday night the Order No.3/2014, stating that U Ko Ko Hlaing has been appointed as Union Minister for the Ministry of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office (1), U Aung Naing Oo as Union Minister for the Ministry of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office (2) and Admiral Moe Aung as Union Minister for the Ministry of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office (4).

SAC also reported that member of the State Administration Council Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae has been replaced with Union Minister for the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office (4) Admiral Moe Aung for the National Security Adviser post.

Admiral Moe Aung had served as the Commander-in-Chief of Navy.
