The President's Office announced that a total of 863 illegal Chinese immigrants have been detained from January to September, 2020.    

The spokesperson for the State President's Office, U Zaw Htay, gave the list of Chinese under custody on 12 Oct. in response to a reporters' query regarding the illegal entry of Chinese nationals.    

Of the illegal Chinese immigrants into Myanmar that have been caught from 1st Jan. to 29th Sept., 687 had come in seeking jobs, and including two that had been seized at the request of the Chinese embassy  a total of 863 illegal Chinese immigrants have been caught.

It is learnt that there have been 191 cases concerning the illegal entry of Chinese nationals, in Naypyidaw included, from 12 Regions and States. Of these, the most are from Shan State. From 1st Jan. to 29th Sept. 2020, monthwise the seizure of illegal Chinese immigrants is as follows: 47 in January, 19 in February, 43 in March, 28 in April, 76 in May  89 in June, 246 in July, 231 in August, and 85 in September.
