A total of 11 basic education schools were reopened in Nawnghkio Township on August 11, with 1,310 students enrolling, bringing the total number of students to 6,800, according to sources.
Basic education schools in Nawnghkio Township, northern Shan State, which were closed for almost a year, reopened on July 25, and are teaching students literature and continuing to accept enrollment.
In order to provide education to school-age children according to grade levels, 11 basic education schools were reopened on August 11, bringing the total number of basic education schools in Nawnghkio Township to 53. Similarly, 1,310 students enrolled on August 11, bringing the total number of students to 6,861.
In addition, to facilitate the health care services of the local ethnic people, the Nawnghkio Township General Hospital was renovated and reopened on August 2 and providing health care services. On August 11, 79 outpatients were provided with necessary health check-ups for malaria, influenza, and general diseases at the hospital, and 99 local ethnic people were given blood tests and five were tested for malaria.
In addition, 28 people are receiving medical treatment at the hospital as inpatients, and medical teams are providing necessary health care services.
