Myanmar’s university football squad left for Nay Pyi Taw to conduct advance training on November 29 as part of preparation for taking part in the 19th ASEAN University Games.
A total of 20 players have been chosen for Myanmar’s university football squad. Zaw Min acted as a head coach. Mr Sivaji, technical director of Hanthawady United, and head coach Ngwe Tun are providing assistance to the university football squad.
Myanmar’s university football squad is comprised of key players from the university selected team that participated in the MNL-2 (First Division) for the 2018 football season.
Myanmar is going to host the 19th ASEAN University Games for the first time. Aung Moe Kyaw, the owner of Hanthawady United FC, assigned coach officials including Mr Sivaji, technical director of Hanthawady United.
Myanmar’s university football squad played four test matches. It will start conducting training on November 30. The 19th ASEAN University Games will be held in Myanmar from December 9 to 18.
