At the invitation of His Majesty the King of Cambodia, President U Min Aung Hlaing arrived in Cambodia on a state-level goodwill visit on the morning of September 11.
The special aircraft carrying the Myanmar high-level delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing arrived at Techo International Airport in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Senior Cambodian government officials led by H.E. Mr. THOR Chetha, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, Cambodian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. CHENG Manith, Myanmar Ambassador to Cambodia U Kyaw Soe Min, Myanmar Defence Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Zaw Win, and embassy and defence attaché office families welcomed the Myanmar delegation at the airport.
During the welcome ceremony, members of the Cambodian Honour Guard stood at attention on both sides of the red carpet in accordance with the traditional protocol for welcoming Heads of States on state visits. Two Cambodian children also presented bouquets to welcome the President.
At the invitation of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, the Myanmar high-level delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing departed Nay Pyi Taw Airport by special aircraft this morning to pay a state visit to Cambodia.
The Myanmar high-level delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing was seen off at the airport by Vice President U Nyo Saw, Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo, Union ministers, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, the Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, and officials from the Vietnamese Embassy and Defence Attaché Office in Myanmar.
The President is accompanied on the visit by Union Ministers U Tin Maung Swe, Dr. Kan Zaw and U Maung Myint, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Win Than, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, deputy ministers, and other officials.
During the visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing will meet with the President of the Cambodian Senate (Acting Head of State) and hold bilateral talks. He will also meet with the Prime Minister of Cambodia and the President of the National Assembly of Cambodia. The discussions will focus on further strengthening the existing friendly and cordial relations between Myanmar and Cambodia, enhancing cooperation between the two governments, parliaments and peoples; and promoting cooperation in the economic, cultural and other sectors. The President will also visit and pay homage at prominent sites and ancient temples in Cambodia.
