President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing and his wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, returned to Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon, after a three-day official visit to Vietnam.
The President and his wife departed Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on a special flight and arrived at Nay Pyi Taw Airport after completing the visit, which was made at the invitation of Vietnamese President To Lam and his wife.
During the visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing held talks with President To Lam and attended bilateral discussions. He also met with the Vietnamese Prime Minister and the Chairman of the National Assembly, as well as representatives of business organisations.
The President attended the Myanmar-Vietnam Business Forum and visited digital technology and industrial facilities in Vietnam.
Discussions during the visit covered strengthening the longstanding friendly relations between Myanmar and Vietnam, enhancing cooperation between the two governments, parliaments and peoples, and promoting collaboration in economic, cultural and other sectors.
The Myanmar delegation accompanying the President and his wife included Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi, U Tin Maung Swe, U Min Naung, Dr Charlie Than and U Tun Ohn, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, deputy ministers and other officials.
