A goodwill delegation led by Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff of , has arrived in for an official visit, according to sources.
The delegation landed in on the evening of May 1 via an air route. They were welcomed at by senior officials from the Myanmar Navy, the Indian Naval Attaché to Myanmar, and other responsible authorities.
During their stay, members of the delegation wiil visit the revered to pay their respects. The delegation is scheduled to remain in Myanmar until May 6, during which they will tour prominent sites and continue engagements aimed at strengthening naval ties and goodwill between the two countries.
In a related development, Indian naval vessels and arrived in Yangon in the final week of April. During a deck reception held aboard one of the ships, representatives from both sides exchanged views on enhancing maritime cooperation in the , according to a statement released by the Embassy of India in Myanmar.
