The price of 95 Ron in Yangon has decreased slightly, while the prices of other fuels have increased further, according to the Fuel Import, Storage and Distribution Supervisory Committee.

According to the prices released on April 3, fuel prices in Yangon were set at 4,625 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 4,780 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 5,680 kyats per litre for diesel and 6,805 kyats per litre for premium diesel.

Compared to the prices of fuel last week, this indicates an increase of 172 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 230 kyats per litre for diesel, and 720 kyats per litre for premium diesel.

However, 95 Ron has decreased by 195 kyats per litre.

Fuel prices are revised weekly, usually on Fridays.

On March 27, the committee announced that fuel prices in Yangon were set at 4,450 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 4,975 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 5,450 kyats per litre for diesel and 6,085 kyats per litre for premium diesel.

As a result, fuel prices have been rising for three consecutive weeks.

Global oil prices have fluctuated due to conflicts in the Middle East, which has also affected domestic fuel prices.

Likewise, amid the ongoing oil crisis, many countries around the world are taking measures to reduce fuel consumption.
