Myanmar Airways International (MAI) has announced that baggage allowances for its restricted international flights will be fully restored to their original limits starting March 26.

According to MAI, passengers on international routes can now carry up to 30 kg for Economy Class and 40 kg for Business Class, as previously allowed.

In addition, members of the Sky Smile (Ruby & Diamond) program will once again receive their original extra baggage privileges.

The airline also stated that all domestic flights, which were previously suspended due to operational conditions, will resume normal operations.

For passengers who experienced baggage reductions between March 22 and 25 due to temporary restrictions, MAI will provide a travel voucher equivalent to 10 kg of baggage allowance. This voucher is valid until June 30, 2026, and cannot be transferred to others or exchanged for a refund.

MAI expressed its sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and affirmed its commitment to ensuring smooth and comfortable travel for passengers. The airline also extended its gratitude to travelers for their patience, understanding, and continued support during this period.
