Ministry of Health warns of counterfeit Dumex Dupro infant and children’s formula being sold in market

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the Ministry of Health, has announced that counterfeit Dumex Dupro Brand for infants and children is being manufactured and sold in the market.

Dumex Dupro Brand (formula for infants and children) is officially imported and distributed by DKSH Myanmar Ltd. in the market.

However, counterfeit Dumex Dupro Brand is being found and distributed in the local market. Therefore, the FDA has issued a notice to consumers not to purchase and consume these counterfeit food items, which may harm the health of consumers and do not have quality assurance and responsibility.

In addition, the differences between the certified Dumex Dupro Brand (genuine) and the counterfeit products have been shown with pictures so that they can be identified.

The FDA warned the distributors and sellers not to distribute or sell these food items in the market and that action will be taken under Section 31 of the National Food Law if they fail to comply.
