Construction materials and consumer goods intended for rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts arrived in Tonzang Township, Chin State, on May 29, according to sources.

Following the restoration of government control over Falam, Tiddim, Tonzang, and surrounding areas that had previously been under insurgent control, efforts are underway to rebuild the region, restore administrative functions, and improve the socio-economic conditions of local residents. In line with the guidance of the Head of State, the government is delivering food supplies, consumer goods, and construction materials to support recovery and development activities.

A convoy carrying construction materials, including cement, galvanized iron sheets, and roofing nails, arrived in Tonzang from Tiddim. The supplies are intended for the rapid reconstruction of hospitals, schools, government offices, religious buildings, roads, and bridges that were damaged or destroyed during the conflict. The shipment also included consumer goods, kitchen utensils, and healthcare supplies for local communities.

The materials and supplies were transported by military aircraft from Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay to Kalay on May 25. They were then delivered by road to Falam on May 26, Tiddim on May 27, and finally to Tonzang on May 29.

Upon arrival, the goods were received by relevant officials and distributed to local residents. Authorities stated that additional assistance will continue to be provided based on the needs of the region.
