Myanmar Tourism Bank opens its 19th Branch in Bago Region

Myanmar Tourism Bank has opened its 19th branch in Bago Region and is working to expand into other regions, according to the bank’s chairman, U Yan Win.

The new branch was officially inaugurated on July 14 at No. 331, at the corner of Shwe Mawdaw Pagoda Road and 33rd Street, Shinsaopura Ward, Bagon Region. Speaking at the ceremony, U Yan Win said: “The Central Bank has granted us permission to open this new branch. We’re also applying for permission to open one or two more branches. These branches will operate under a modern digital banking system,” he explained.

The opening ceremony was attended by U Aik Htun, chairman of Asia Wealth Bank, U Shain Win, chairman of the Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association, as well as businesspeople from the banking and hotel sectors.

Currently, Myanmar Tourism Bank (MTB Bank) operates branches in Yangon, including MTB Bank Sule (Head Office), Pyay Road Branch, Botahtaung Branch, Shwe Bon Thar Branch, Shwe Gon Taing Branch, Yuzana Plaza Branch, New University Avenue Road Branch, and Shwe Taung Tan Branch. In Nay Pyi Taw, the administrative capital, it has the Thapyay Kone Branch.

In Mandalay Region, the country’s commercial center, MTB Bank has branches on 27th Street, Manaw Hari Branch, Ze Cho Branch, and Kywe Se Kan Branch. Beyond these, the bank has opened branches in other towns and cities: Muse, Taunggyi, Monywa, Myawady, and Pathein.
