Rescue teams from India, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore collaborate with Myanmar Fire Services in rescue operations starting March 30 at 7 AM

According to a release from the Myanmar Fire Services Department, rescue teams from India, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore have begun joint operations with Myanmar’s search and rescue teams starting at 7 AM on March 30.  

A team from India, consisting of 35 rescue personnel, is working alongside Myanmar’s fire department to assist in the aftermath of the earthquake that caused the collapse of the Great Wall Hotel on 78th Street in Mandalay Region. Operations began this morning at 7 AM.  

Meanwhile, a rescue team from the People’s Republic of China, with 50 members, has joined forces with Myanmar’s fire department to conduct search and rescue operations at the site of the collapsed Sky Villa condominium in Mandalay. Their efforts also commenced at 7 AM today.  

Additionally, Singapore’s Operation Lionheart team, comprising 80 members from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), worked with Myanmar’s rescue teams in Zabuthiri Township, Naypyitaw. They successfully rescued one survivor trapped under a collapsed building on Thitsar (2) Street in Thapyaygon Ward.  

Starting at 7 AM on March 30, a 55-member search and rescue team from Myanmar’s Fire Services Department, alongside a team from Hong Kong, has begun operations at the site of the collapsed U Hla Thein Susana Beikman building in Mandalay Region, which was damaged by the earthquake.
