Since the powerful earthquake on the afternoon of March 28, aftershocks have been repeatedly felt in Mandalay and Sagaing, causing ongoing concern among locals.

A resident from Chan Aye Tharzan Township in Mandalay shared, "Aftershocks have been occurring all night. Although they are small, they still shake our houses. We can’t sleep, and we can’t go inside. Families are gathered outside for safety. In many areas of the city, WIFI internet is unavailable, and internet cables are broken. Electricity poles are down, and phone lines are not working. Even mobile internet is intermittent. I’m afraid of another earthquake."

A resident from Sagaing commented, "I can’t even count how many aftershocks we’ve had so far."

In Sagaing, there is an urgent need for assistance for the injured, as many residents are sleeping on the streets due to fears of more aftershocks.

Meanwhile, Myanmar firefighters, social relief organizations, and other groups have been working around the clock, continuing rescue efforts to save people trapped in collapsed buildings in Mandalay City following the earthquake.
