Three residents of the Mandalay Sky Villa condo, which collapsed during the powerful earthquake on March 28, have been rescued alive. Among those rescued were a grandmother and her two grandchildren, as reported by U Naung, a resident whose mother and two children were trapped in the building.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, U Naung expressed his relief, saying, "My mother and two children were rescued alive from the collapsed 11-story building." The Sky Villa condo, located between 60th Street, 22nd Street, and 23rd Street in Aung Myay Tharzan Township, partially collapsed, with four stories caving in and leaving only seven stories still above ground after the earthquake.

U Naung went on to express his gratitude, writing, "My mother was found. She’s alive. She was given oxygen because of her age, and now she is being cared for. I can’t believe it. The whole building collapsed, and yet she was found alive. I am thankful to all the individuals who helped from every sector, the search and rescue teams, and the Pioneer staff who have been working nonstop since the collapse. I pray that the other missing family members will be found soon."

The collapse trapped many residents, and search and rescue efforts are ongoing to locate others still trapped beneath the rubble.
