The New York Times reported that Myanmar is on the list of 43 countries that the US Department of State is considering restricting entry to, according to a report by the US Department of State.
The draft list of countries that will be restricted is divided into three categories: red, orange and yellow.
The red list includes 11 countries, whose citizens would be completely banned from entering the US.
The red list includes Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen.
The orange list includes 10 countries, whose citizens would be subject to extremely restrictive entry to the US.
The orange list includes Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan and Turkmenistan.
Wealthy businessmen from these countries will be granted entry, and citizens of these countries who apply for immigration and tourist visas may have their visas denied.
The yellow list includes 22 countries, and citizens of these countries will have 60 days to submit the required information to ensure compliance.
The countries on the yellow list are Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Congo, D.R. Congo, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Sao Tome and Principe, Vanuatu, and Zimbabwe.
