Legendary singer Khin Nyunt Yee, who passed away after battling cancer, will be cremated at Yeway Cemetery, her daughter, singer O Pyae Shin, announced.
The funeral will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Yeway Cemetery. O Pyae Shin expressed her gratitude to the singer's fans and loved ones, sharing the news of the funeral.
Khin Nyunt Yee, aged 74, passed away at 11:05 pm on February 20, 2025, while receiving treatment at the Cancer Ward of Yangon General Hospital. On the morning of February 21, her body was transported to the funeral home.
The renowned singer had been admitted to the Cancer Ward of Yangon General Hospital on January 31 and passed away after 20 days.
Throughout her career, Khin Nyunt Yee released over 100 cassettes during the cassette era, earning a dedicated fan base. Her popular songs include “Song Ami,” “Tim Pali Nwe Naeng,” and “Let Pan Pwint Kauk Aa.”
